With assumption of offices by a new provincial government including Governor, Chief Minister and his cabinet ministers, the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) was experiencing a major political and administrative transformation. To examine and discuss the challenges and opportunities for the newly elected government, Gilgit-Baltistan Policy Institute (GBPI) in collaboration with Centre for Civic Education and Forum of Federations Canada has organized a two-day seminar in Islamabad from 12 to 13 July, 2010. The seminar was attended by 61% elected members of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) including Chief Minister and Speaker, 50% members of Gilgit-Baltistan Council, 40% representatives of major political parties and Civil Society Representatives from GB.
